I retired from the Navy in 1995 and moved to Sequim with my wife, (see Melody), and family.  About two weeks later Melody threatened to have me evicted from our home if I did not find something to do other than drive her nuts.  Someone suggested that I get a job at SARC as a lifeguard.  So with visions of Bay Watch I took some training and started my new career.  A few weeks later the management found out that I could make change for a dollar so they hired me as a cashier too.  Soon after that a couple older men, that like a challenge, decided they needed someone to tutor and took me on as their personal project.  Almost thirteen years later they are both bald and still trying to teach me something.  Now I spend three mornings a week harassing the little children and generally driving everyone crazy.  On my days off you can find me here trying to keep up with my youngest in the weight room or drinking coffee and kibitzing with the boys.

Oh yeah, back to Melody.  After a couple years my wife, Melody the water aerobics instructor, (yeah, eat your heart out), decided that I was having way too much fun and decided that she would get a job at SARC so she could keep an eye on me.  The very best thing about working at SARC, besides harassing the customers, is getting to know so many of the most interesting people in Sequim.
