I am a native Washingtonian and moved to Sequim in 2005. I attended the University of Washington where I received a degree in Psychology and Secondary Teaching Certification.
I had the opportunity to be an educator and coach at Seattle Lutheran High School for seven years. While there I taught Social Studies and English, created a peer counseling training program and coached boys' and girls' golf.
A unique opportunity presented itself and I became a member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America. For almost 10 years, I was fortunate to work at a variety of facilities and meet some interesting people. Besides all the great experience and skills I received, I also served on the Western Washington Chapter Board of Directors and served as the Assistants' and Orientation Chairpersons. I am still a card carrying "retired" member of the association and when time allows, I still volunteer to assist in local PGA tournaments and events.
I wanted to have a positive impact on the community and believed the Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center Board of Directors would be a perfect fit for me. I have been on the Board since the spring of 2007. When not at SARC, I enjoy hiking, cross country skiing, mountain biking and golf.
